You Were Chosen for This Time—So Why Are You Wasting It?
Do you manage your time well—or do you just try to get through it? If I’m honest, I’ve struggled with this for most of my life. As a child, I realized I couldn’t always avoid responsibility, but I could control how long it took me to do it—and I used that to my advantage. Now, as a parent, I see that same pattern come full circle. But over the years, God has shifted my perspective in a powerful way:

You Are Not Here by Accident
There’s a quote from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring that captures this beautifully:
“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”
That truth becomes even more powerful when you realize this: you are not here by accident. God intentionally chose this moment in time for you to exist. Your story wouldn’t fit 2,000 years ago, and it wouldn’t make sense 100 years from now. You were handpicked for now. Do you believe that?

For Such a Time as This
We see this same truth in the story of Book of Esther, when Mordecai tells Esther,
“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
Esther was placed in a moment of tension, uncertainty, and risk. She didn’t rush ahead impulsively. Instead, she humbled herself, called for prayer and fasting, and aligned her heart with God before acting. Her identity was not separate from her timing—it was deeply connected to it. And the same is true for you.

The Frustration of Living in Time
One of the hardest parts of being human is that we are bound by time. We can’t speed it up, slow it down, or control it—and if you’re anything like me, that can feel incredibly frustrating.
But here is the truth that brings both comfort and conviction:

He exists outside of it.
Second Peter 3:8 reminds us, “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”
Time is never a problem for Him. He is never late. He is never rushed. Everything He does is done in perfect timing.
You Don’t Control Time—But You Steward It
Even though we cannot control time, God has entrusted us to steward it. That realization changed my life.
In a difficult season years ago, when I couldn’t control my circumstances, I felt the Lord invite me into a choice: I could complain about how long things were taking and how unfair it felt, or I could surrender to Him and trust that He was writing my story.
In that moment, I realized something profound:

Your Day Starts with Rest, Not Striving
This shift deepened even more when I began to understand the biblical rhythm of time.
In Book of Genesis 1:5, it says,
“There was evening, and there was morning—the first day.”
That may seem backwards, but in God’s design, the day begins in the evening—with rest.
What if we lived that way? What if instead of beginning our days in stress and striving, we began them in surrender and rest?
Rest is not a reward—it is the foundation.
God Designed Time with Purpose
As I continued studying Scripture, I discovered that God didn’t just create time—He gave it structure and meaning.
Genesis 1:14 says,
“Let there be lights in the vault of the sky… and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years.”
The Hebrew word for “sacred times” is moedim, meaning appointed times—divine appointments with God.
These are not random moments. They are intentional invitations woven into time itself.
The Appointed Times Reveal Jesus
Throughout Scripture, we see seven appointed times: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Pentecost, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles.
These are not merely ancient traditions—they reveal Jesus.
The first four have already been fulfilled through His life, death, and resurrection. The final three point to His return. These rhythms help us remember what God has done, recognize what He is doing, and prepare for what He will do.

Missing the Season Means Missing the Moment
Here is a hard truth: when we do not understand the times and seasons, we often miss what God is doing.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says,
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Yet many people are planting in the wrong season—forcing things that are not ready or missing opportunities that are. God is inviting us into discernment, where we learn not only what to do, but when to do it.
Identity Theft Is More Dangerous Than You Think
This connects deeply to what I shared in my previous episode about identity.
The enemy is not just trying to take things from you—he is trying to take who you are. He replaces truth with imitation and leads us into performance instead of authenticity. If we are not careful, we can spend our lives living a version of ourselves that God never created.
Adar: The Month of Unmasking
We are stepping into the Hebrew month of Adar, a powerful season marked by joy, reversal, and revelation.
This month is connected to the Hebrew letter Kuf, which carries a striking dual meaning: holiness and mimicry. It represents the tension between being set apart and simply copying what looks real.

That is the question this season brings: will you live as who God created you to be, or will you continue to imitate something that only looks right on the surface?
Adar is also a time when hidden things are revealed, just as in Esther’s story. What was concealed is brought into the light.
And here is the truth: you cannot experience real joy while living behind a false identity.
The Real Reason You’re Exhausted
Some of you feel exhausted—and it is not just because life is hard.
It is because you have been carrying a version of yourself that is not real.
Performance is draining. Pretending is heavy. But joy flows from alignment.
God Is Not Asking for a Perfect You
Hebrews 10:22 says,
“Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings.”
God is not asking for perfection. He is not asking for performance. He is asking for authenticity.
The real you. The honest you. The one He already knows.
Holiness is not about perfection—it is about bringing your true self before God and allowing Him to transform you.
This Is Your Invitation
This is more than just another moment on the calendar. It is a divine invitation:
To lay down performance
To break agreement with false identity
To step into who you were created to be
Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us,
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
And that joy becomes unshakable when you are living in alignment with Him.
What Will You Do With Your Time?
So here is the question you need to sit with:
What will you do with the time you have been given?
Because when you understand the time you are in, you begin to understand what God is doing—and how to respond.
And that is where everything changes.
