Last Episode Recap:
In episode 10, we talked about trusting God with bold, audacious faith—even when life feels messy. I shared my own story and used the image of a train:
- God’s truth is the engine
- Our faith is the fuel car
- Our feelings are the caboose—never leading, always following
As His witnesses, we must keep choosing to let truth lead and feelings follow.
If you missed that episode, go back and listen—it’s worth it.
For those who did, here’s my challenge:
Have you written your statement of faith for this season?
If not, do it today. Faith isn’t automatic; it’s a choice to nurture the seed God planted in your heart. Without intentional care, doubt will choke it out.
Your personal statement of faith is powerful—it anchors you in God’s truth and fuels your walk with Him.
But today, I’m calling you to take a giant step forward:
You are a minister of truth!
Are you ready?
Your Calling Isn’t Optional
Last time, we focused on your ministry with God—and that is essential.
But hear me: that’s only half the battle.
The other half is your ministry to others.
We live in a culture obsessed with independence and self-interest. Everything around us pulls us away from community, from calling, from responsibility. But if you are a friend of Jesus, you don’t get to opt out of ministry.
Being part of His body means stepping boldly into your calling.
You are not only called to walk in truth—you are called to proclaim it. God’s Word says,
“Always be eager to present yourself before God as a perfect and mature minister, without shame, as one who correctly explains the Word of Truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 (TPT)
You may wonder, Is God really holding me to the same standard Paul set for Timothy? Yes. Leaders carry weighty responsibility, but Jesus commands every believer to carry the gospel forward.
Don’t buy the lie that ministry is only for a select few.
That lie exists to keep you silent.
God’s Truth
Your Identity as His Priestly King
“You are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings… He called you out of darkness… so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world.”
1 Peter 2:9 (TPT)
You are God’s treasured possession.
A priest.
A king.
Called and chosen to declare His truth.
And if that feels overwhelming—good. Moses felt that way. So did Jeremiah. But when God calls, He equips.
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:8 (ESV)
You are not doing this alone.
The Sacred Union
Scripture and Prayer
To stand as a true minister of truth, you must first become a partaker of truth. That starts with the Word.
But hear this clearly:
The Word alone is only half the story.
That is not to say that scripture isn’t complete. It means that the fullness of our relationship with God comes from the sacred dance of Scripture and prayer—woven like breath and heartbeat.
Andrew Murray writes in The Inner Chamber and the Inner Life:
“Prayer and the Word have one common center—God. Prayer seeks God; the Word reveals God. In prayer, man rises to heaven to dwell with God; in the Word, God comes to dwell with man. In prayer, man gives himself to God; in the Word, God gives Himself to man.”
Andrew Murray, The Inner Chamber and the Inner Life
Prayer is the soul reaching upward.
The Word is God reaching back.
To separate them is to tear apart the very fabric of spiritual life.
- Prayer without the Word = passion with no direction
- The Word without prayer = truth with no fire
- Without prayer our hearts grow numb
- Without Scripture our prayers lose power
Together, they form a sacred circle.
But we live in a world that wages war against both.
So we must guard them fiercely.
Guarding Sacred Space
Protecting Our Secret Place
Protecting your time in prayer and Scripture isn’t just discipline—it’s spiritual warfare. It means carving out space where God’s voice can pierce through the noise.
For me, this meant building a quiet sanctuary—a place where nothing competes with His presence.
Every morning I slip into the basement with a warm cup of tea, my study Bible, a pen, a highlighter, and a journal.
The phone stays upstairs for this is holy ground.

And it has changed everything.
But I know not everyone is a morning person. Moms, especially—you’re in a demanding season. Silence may feel impossible.
But even if you can’t find quiet, you can still find connection.
If you’re nursing a baby, instead of scrolling, listen to Scripture.
If your house is loud, pray as you fold laundry.
If you’re on the go, worship in the car.
Your time with God doesn’t need to be silent—just surrendered.
Devotionals are wonderful—I’ve written one!—but they cannot replace Scripture. Many Christians are spiritually malnourished not because food is scarce, but because the battle to open the Word is fierce.
Before I had children, I knew the Bible—but it wasn’t a practice. Motherhood revealed how desperately I needed it. Without the Word, I don’t feel fully alive.
This sacred hour is where I find strength, clarity, grounding, and the grace to face the day.
A Life of Prayer
Listening, Not Just Speaking
Reading the Word is foundational, but this year God has drawn me deeply into prayer.
Even as an intercessor, life gets in the way. Prayers can become one-sided—me talking, but not listening.
So I started taking walks—morning, noon, and night—just to listen.
No earbuds.
No noise.
Just God’s creation and His whisper.
One of the greatest ways to grow in relationship with God is simply to ask:
“Lord, what’s on Your heart today?”
Silence is a spiritual discipline our souls desperately need. Even five minutes opens the door for God’s voice. And when I pray and immerse myself in Scripture, the atmosphere of my home shifts.
Your Home Is Your First Ministry
Prioritizing the Kingdom
Far too often, we glamorize ministry outside the home while overlooking the ministry inside it.
But this isn’t how the Kingdom works.
Your home is the front line.
Your spouse and children are your first disciples.
So ask yourself:
Are you ministering truth in your home?
Are you leading with feelings—or with faith?
Faith speaks what God says even when you don’t see it yet.
Call to Action
Minister Truth This Week
This week, be intentional about speaking God’s truth in your home.
Speak words of faith over your spouse and children—
- even when your feelings disagree
- even when results are invisible
- even when it’s hard
Let your home become a place where God’s presence is alive.
Make prayer and Scripture part of the daily rhythm—five minutes is enough to change the atmosphere.
Your home is where ministry begins.
Prayer
God, thank You for calling me to walk with You and to share Your truth right where I am—especially in my home.
Help me lead with faith, not feelings.
Teach me to speak Your Word boldly and with love, even when it’s hard.
Strengthen my desire to protect my time with You—in prayer and in Your Word—so I stay rooted in truth.
Fill my home with Your peace and presence.
Equip me to be Your faithful minister in every moment.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Rise and Shine!
Thank you for joining me today.
Press deeper into God’s presence.
Immerse yourself in His Word.
Cultivate a life of prayer.
Watch how God transforms your heart—and your home.
Walking in faith is a daily, courageous choice, but you are not alone. God is raising you up as a powerful minister of Truth.
I cannot wait to journey with you into the next episode as we explore more ways to live boldly for Jesus.
Until then—
stand firm, be courageous, and let God’s light shine through you with unstoppable power.
